Selena Gomez 'Swatted' Hours After Justin Timberlake

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Singer and actress Selena Gomez's Tarzana home was "swatted" Friday afternoon, hours after Justin Timberlake's residence was the target of a phony emergency call.

Police responded to a "shots fired" call in the 19000 block of Wells Drive around 5 p.m.

"Officers responded to the scene, but found nothing at the location," said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department. "We cleared the location about 6:15 p.m."

Gomez had no idea the police were called to her home until they showed up.

Timberlake's Hollywood Hills home was "swatted" around 3:15 p.m. when a caller claimed four black men were in the residence and shots were fired.

Detectives are investigating a string of bizarre bogus calls, which are made to solicit a large police response, at celebrity homes this past week.

"There's been numerous incidents over the last week that our officers have fully deployed and responded to in an urgent-like manner," said Officer Sara Faden.

On Thursday, Rihanna's Pacific Palisades home was targeted. Rapper Diddy fell victim to a 911 hoax Wednesday.

Authorities said it's unclear if it's the same person or group who is behind the calls.
