LEGOLAND Hotel Celebrates Its Grand Opening In Carlsbad!

CARLSBAD (CBSLA.com) — LEGOLAND celebrated the grand opening of its first hotel Friday!

The three-story, 250-room Carlsbad hotel immerses guests in a creative LEGO world and is designed to maximize a child's experience, from lower counter tops to an interactive LEGO play pit.

"Every room is themed. Guests can choose from kingdom, pirate and adventure-themed rooms, which is amazing," hotel spokesman Jake Gonzales said.

Children have their own sleeping area in every room complete with bunk beds, a trundle bed and their own TV.

"When kids go into their rooms, there's a treasure hunt. They're gonna be looking for clues, different little numbers and there's an actual treasure chest and they have to break that code and find an amazing treasure inside," Gonzales added.

There are more than 3,500 LEGO models throughout the hotel that were made with more than three million LEGO bricks.

Guests staying at LEGOLAND Hotel also have exclusive early access to LEGOLAND California.
