H.S. Assistant Principal, 45, Accused Of Having Sex With 3 Male Students

HEMET (CBSLA.com) — A female assistant principal was arrested Wednesday for allegedly having sexual contact with three male high school students in Hemet.

Erin Henton, 45, was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery of a minor, oral copulation of a minor and sending inappropriate material to a minor via electronic devices.

"The incidents are believed to have occurred over several months," Hemet police Lt. Duane Wisehart said.

The Hemet Unified School District suspended Henton from her job at Tahquitz High School March 8 when the allegations first came to light, Wisehart said.

Detectives found three unidentified alleged victims, all of whom were enrolled at Tahquitz High.

The alleged sexual contact did not occur on the high school campus, according to Wisehart.

The suspect, who is married to a police officer in El Cajon, is in the process of getting a divorce.

She was booked into the Hemet Jail. Bail information was not immediately available.
