3-Alarm Blaze In Santa Ana Results In Partial Roof Collapse

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters in Santa Ana worked into the night battling a fire at a vacant, two-story building.

The three-alarm blaze at the Saddleback Inn on East First and North Lyon streets was reported around 10:35 p.m. Friday.

Capt. John Muir, a public information officer of the Orange County Fire Authority, said 75 firefighters were dispatched to the blaze.

Crews battled the fire for nearly three hours, utilizing aerial ladders with water towers to douse the flames.

At one point, the roof on the east side of one of three buildings on the property collapsed.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
