2 California Tickets Each Worth $264K Picked In Mega Millions Draw

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — California Lottery officials announced Saturday that two tickets sold in California in last night's Mega Millions draw are worth $264,531 each.

No ticket nationwide matched all six numbers so the jackpot for Tuesday's draw climbs to $42 million.  The jackpot in Friday's draw was an estimated $34 million.

The two big California winners matched five of the winning numbers but failed to match the Mega number of 21. The five winning numbers were 25, 31, 36, 46 and 53.

One of the two winning 5/5 tickets was sold in Walnut at Daily Donuts (18766 Amar Road.) The other winning 5/5 ticket was sold at Adobe Liquors in San Pablo (13800 San Pablo Avenue.)

Mega Millions is a multi-state game, played in California, 41 other states, the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 plus a Mega number from 1 to 46. Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers.

The much-anticipated Powerball arrives in California on April 8.

In Saturday's SuperLotto draw, no tickets matched all six numbers.  Winning numbers were 5, 22, 28, 37 and 43. The Mega number was 19.

The jackpot for next Wednesday is estimated at $8 million.

One 5/5 ticket was sold at Vendome Liquor (3115 Yorba Linda Boulevard) in Fullerton. That ticket is worth $54,150, according to the California Lottery's website.

Lottery draw results can be obtained for free (1-800-LOTTERY) or via calottery.com.
