3 Good Samaritans Come To The Rescue During Gas Station Armed Robbery

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Three Good Samaritans came to the rescue of a gas station cashier during an armed robbery last Sunday in San Bernardino.

The incident, which was caught on security cameras, happened around 9 a.m. at the Mobil station on Hallmark Parkway near the 215 Freeway.

The suspect, described as a black male in his 20s, confronted employee Juana Lucena and demanded cash.

Lucena emptied the register, but decided to run away with the money bag when the suspect started to look for a safe.

"If I stayed, he might have done something to me…so it's better to run…ask for help…something," said Lucena.

The suspect chased after the employee and grabbed the money, but the Good Samaritans heard the cashier's pleas for help.

They punched the suspect several times until he dropped the cash bag.

The alleged robber, however, managed to get away with a few dollars.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the San Bernardino Police Department.
