ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — A school bus carrying children caught on fire Wednesday on State Route 57 in Orange County.

The fire broke out in the back of the bus around 1:25 p.m. on northbound SR-57 near State Route 91.

All the children were safely taken off the bus by authorities and directed to stand on the right shoulder.

A tow truck and a second school bus have been requested to the scene to move the bus and pick up the children.

The bus was partially blocking the right lane of the freeway, causing major traffic delays.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
