Valencia Man Busted For Alleged Heroin Use Near Castaic Lake

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — A Valencia man was behind bars Tuesday for allegedly using heroin near Castaic Lake.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies from the Parks Bureau Special Problems Team observed an unidentified male adult on Mar. 23 at the rear of a motel adjacent to Castaic Lake Park located at 32132 Ridge Route Road in Castaic, according to officials.

Deputies noticed what appeared to be a hypodermic needle in the man's hand and it appeared he was about to inject his foot. He was then detained and identified as a resident of Valencia.

Investigators determined that the suspect - who had a felony warrant for possession for sales of heroin - was also in possession of a small baggie containing heroin.

He was immediately arrested and booked at Santa Clarita Station.
