Host A March Madness Party At Home With Tips From Chef Meg Hall

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Skip the crowded bars and host a March Madness party at home!

Chef Meg Hall, caterer-to-the-stars and creator of the new Made by Meg restaurant in Redondo Beach, stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to share some yummy party snacks that will surely be crowd pleasers.

Bacon-wrapped pork-stuffed peppers - a nod to Carolina's own Duke University!
● Prep time: 20 min
● Ingredients:
■ 8 Bacon strips
■ 15 sweet peppers
■ 6 oz spicy italian sausage browned
■ 3 oz cream cheese
■ ½ c diced white onion
■ tablespoon fennel seed
■ teaspoon garlic powder

Tequila lime skirt steak skewers - for an authentic flavor of Miami, ranked in the top 5!
● Prep time: 30 min
● Ingredients:
■ 20 6" skewers, pre-soaked in water for 30 min
■ Skirt steak 1.5 lb
■ 1 c. tequila
■ ¼ brown sugar
■ teaspoon chili flakes
■ 2 limes, sliced
■ 2 scallions, sliced lengthwise in 2" sections

Mini Washington Apple Poppers - from Gonzaga's home state!
● Prep time: 20 min.
● Ingredients:
■ 3 apples
■ ¼ cup brown sugar
■ teaspoon cinnamon
■ ½ teaspoon nutmeg
■ 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
■ pinch of salt
■ package frozen puff pastry
■ 1 egg
