Man Remains Critical After Being Shot, Thrown From Car Downtown

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man Sunday remained in critical condition after being shot and thrown from a car in downtown Los Angeles.

Witnesses reported seeing the victim, a man in his early 20s, being pushed out of a car near the 9th Street off-ramp on the southbound 110 Freeway on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the victim sustained two gunshot wounds, one to the head and another to the upper neck area.

It's not clear if the man was shot inside the car or at another location before being dumped.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a maroon-colored Toyota Camry with a shattered back window.

The suspect remains at large.

No further information was available.
