LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — CBS' "The Talk" will honor the cast and crew of daytime's number one soap, "The Young and the Restless," on the show's almost-40th anniversary Monday.
Eight "Y&R" stars will discuss the show's 40-year history as well as talk about why the soap has been number one for 24 consecutive years.
"The Talk" will show memorable moments from the soap and the actors will discuss their favorite moments in front of and behind the scenes.
Slated to appear are (alphabetically) Peter Bergman (who plays Jack Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman Abbott), Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), Michael Muhney (Adam Newman), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters).
After the completion of the live show, the stars will participate in a web-only 30 minute Q&A titled "Keep Talking: The Young and the Restless Cast" with the show's studio audience, made up largely of longtime "Y&R" fans. The Q&A session will be moderated by "The Talk" co-host Julie Chen and will be posted exclusively online later Monday.
