Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Mar. 21)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Yesterday's cold front has swept across the region and did a good job of scouring some of the cloud cover. We will still have patchy low clouds mixed with high clouds today.

Temperatures will still be running just a touch below average, but very similar to yesterday.

The big weather story today: gusty winds. We are anticipating some fierce winds in the high desert early on,but later this afternoon, it looks like the Santa Clarita Valley and the north end of the San Fernando Valley will get hit by some tough winds. Don't be surprised if more extensive wind advisories pop up today.

The I-5 corridor will be a focus of concern all the way through Friday. There is even a fire danger concern as we make our way into late Friday with humidities falling into the single digits in the mountains.

We will see things settle down over the weekend...by next week though the long range models are still hinting at rain.

Coast-mid 60s
Basin-upper 60s to low 70s
Valleys-mid 70s
Mountains-upper 50s
Deserts--low 70s
