HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A SigAlert was issued early Tuesday morning after a body was discovered on an off-ramp of the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway, police said.

The body was found on the Cahuenga Boulevard off-ramp, Los Angeles police said.

According to officials, the victim either fell or jumped onto the off-ramp from a 30-foot embankment, KNX 1070’s Pete Demetriou said.

Authorities do not believe the person was involved in a traffic accident.

The death was under investigation.
