12-Year-Old Boy Arrested After Allegedly Bringing Pot Brownie To OC School

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — A 12-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly brought a marijuana-laced brownie to an Orange County school and shared it with classmates.

The sixth-grader from Pomona Elementary School in Costa Mesa was taken into custody at his home Thursday on a misdemeanor charge of possessing marijuana on campus. He was then released to a parent.

The young boy and six other students had to be hospitalized Tuesday after eating the brownie sometime after 1 p.m.

Police said school administrators found a small bag of pot in the suspect's backpack.

The students who were sick have recovered.
