Suspects Sought In Rancho Palos Verdes Home Invasion Robbery

RANCHOS PALOS VERDES (CBSLA.com) — An investigation was underway Wednesday into a home invasion robbery in Ranchos Palos Verdes.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lomita station responded to a call at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday along the 4200 block of Miraleste Drive after a family of three called reporting a home invasion that occurred around 8:00 p.m.

Two male suspects forced their way into the residence and ordered the victims to go to another part of the house while they ransacked the home, authorities said.

After nearly three hours, the suspects made off with approximately $300 in cash. No injuries were reported.

The victims waited until the robbery was finished before contacting authorities, Lomita Sheriff's Lt. Judy Anderson told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO.

"When the family members didn't hear anything, they took their chance and called the police," Anderson said.

The suspects were wearing hooded jackets and gloves, but were otherwise unidentifiable.
