LAKE ARROWHEAD (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Sunday helped rescue a 4-year-old child following a tree-climbing adventure in Lake Arrowhead.
The incident near the child’s home in the 1200 block of Portillo Lane occurred about 5:30 p.m., San Bernardino County firefighters said in a department statement.
The statement says the girl’s father managed to climb after her.
He was about 10 feet away by the time crews arrived on scene.
Soon after, he reached his daughter and was able to pass her down to a firefighter who was on a ladder alongside the tree.
The statement said the child had scaled 35 feet up the 50-foot tree.
She was uninjured.
No further information was available.
