HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) — “The Doctors” announced this week that they have taped the first TV interview with Valerie Harper since her terminal cancer diagnosis was made public.
The interview is scheduled to air at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11, on CBS2.
Harper gained fame on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” as the beloved Rhoda Morgenstern. She will be joined on the program by fellow cast members Cloris Leachman and Ed Asner.
For three consecutive years, Harper won an Emmy Award for best supporting actress, then won for lead actress in her own spinoff, “Rhoda.”
The 73-year-old learned of the diagnosis on Jan. 15. Doctors have told her that she has three months to a year to live.
Harper, who never smoked, had previously beat lung cancer.
