OC Coroner Identifies Woman Found Dead Along Newport Beach Shore

NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — The Orange County Coroner Thursday identified a woman who was found dead along the shore in Newport Beach.

Tina Hoang was found unconscious, lying face down in the sand around 6 a.m. on Monday by two people who were walking on the beach near Highland Street and West Oceanfront, Newport Beach police said.

The 20-year-old Bellflower resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Newport Beach Police Detectives are investigating this incident as a suspicious death, pending autopsy and toxicology results from the Orange County Coroner's Office," police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said.
