Singer Dessy Di Laura Performs New Single 'Jump 'N' Jivin' Live On KCAL9

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles-based award-winning singer Dessy Di Lauro visited the KCAL9 studios Wednesday to talk about her new CD 'This Is Neo-Ragtime'.

Di Laura also performed a portion of her hit single single 'Jump 'N' Jivin'. The song is about having a good time, like at the speakeasy of the old days, with a live band, horns, saloon piano and dancers, everyone having a good time and forgetting about their worries.

Dessy's music blends ragtime's musical language of the speakeasy era with today's contemporary urban sounds.

Her live shows incorporate elements from the ''Speak Easy Era'' with garters, feathered head pieces and paper boy caps.
