ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they have recovered a body near a car that crashed about 200 feet down an embankment in the Angeles National Forest.
Caltrans crews spotted the car off Angeles Crest Highway about 1:45 p.m. at mile marker 31-10 in an area known as “Sack Wall,” county firefighter Inspector Brian Riley said.
A Montrose Search and Rescue crew found the body nearby, outside the car.
California Highway Patrol investigators were on the scene.
