Carpinteria Youth Pastor Accused Of Child Molestation, Child Rape

CARPINTERIA (CBSLA.com) — Officials say a Carpinteria youth pastor has been arrested after being accused of multiple counts of child molestation, child rape and lewd acts on a child.

Louis Joseph Bristol, 28, is also accused of furnishing an illegal substance to a minor.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department arrested Bristol Tuesday afternoon.

Bristol turned himself in at the Sheriff's Carpinteria station.

Authorities say Bristol is also an assistant manager at a hotel. It's alleged that he used his positions as a youth pastor and his job at a Holiday Inn Express in Carpinteria to commit crimes against at least two female juveniles this year and last year.

Officials believe there might be more victims.  They're asking anyone with information that can help investigators to call Detective Chris Corbett at (805) 684-5405 ext. 424 or call the anonymous tip line at (805) 681-4171.

Bristol is being held on $2 million bail.
