Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 27)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Get ready for a little taste of spring for the next few days as a big ridge of high pressure builds over the area.

We will be under the influence of an off-shore flow for the rest of the work week. That will keep things gusty below our passes and canyons.

Right now it looks like we will be keeping things just below the advisory criteria, but it will be gusty especially in those wind prone locations around the area. The fiercest winds this morning will be just after sunrise.

The big weather story with this off-shore flow will be warmer temperatures. We should be in the upper 70s and low 80s as early as Thursday. We will keep it there through Friday, maybe even Saturday. Although Saturday we will transition to more of an on-shore flow.

A trough will pass to the north and that will help to cool us down for Sunday. Temps are back to reality next week. However, the forecast is going to persistently dry...still no significant rain in sight.

Coast-low 70s
Basin-mid 70s
Valleys-mid 70s
Mountains-low 40s
Deserts--low 60s
