'Brides Against Cancer' Sell Gowns For A Good Cause

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles-area brides are fighting breast cancer while picking out their dress for the big day.

Brides Against Cancer sell donated wedding gowns with proceeds benefiting programs and services for people impacted by cancer.

Over 1,000 designer and brand name dresses are for sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Taito, located at 2700 Colorado Boulevard, in Santa Monica.

"The gowns are donated by bridal distributors, individual brides and bridal shops all over the country," Amy Paulishak said.

Wedding dresses range from $75 to $3,500.

"The average bridal gown probably sells for about $700 and sizes are 0 to 20," she said.
