Authorities Search For Possible Armed Student At Citrus College

GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — Reports of an armed student on campus prompted the cancellation of classes at Citrus College Wednesday night.

The school was initially locked down when a student reported seeing another student with a handgun, according to the Glendora Police Department.

One person was detained and later released before a second person was taken into custody.

CBS2's Stu Mundel reported authorities were continuing to search buildings across the campus, which is located at 1000 W. Foothill Blvd.

Officials asked students who were already on campus to stay at least 200 feet away from the student services building, where the possible armed suspect may have been sighted.

No injuries were reported.

No other details were immediately available.
