PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Thousands of runners and walkers will take over city streets in Pasadena on Sunday during Kaiser Permanente’s second annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Pasadena Half-Marathon.

The closures impacting sections of Arroyo and Colorado boulevards as well as Lake and Wilson avenues, will remain in effect from sunrise Sunday until noon.

The on- and off- ramps of the 134 Freeway at Orange Grove Avenue will also be blocked during the race which begins and ends at the Rose Bowl.

The half- and mini- marathon will also include a health and fitness expo and post-race concert featuring the hip hop quartet, Far East Movement.

Proceeds raised are expected to benefit CureMito! — a nonprofit organization that offers support for people with mitochondrial disease, a cell disorder.
