Homicide Detectives Investigate Death Of Former Lake Elsinore Council Member
LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — A former Lake Elsinore council member was found dead Friday night.
Officials said George Alongi's death is suspicious and homicide detectives are investigating.
Officers from the Lake Elsinore police department were called to the home about 5:40 p.m.
Authorities were quoted as saying Alongi's body sustained "traumatic injury." He was declared dead at the scene.
Alongi, 77, lived with his wife Grace in the 1000 block of Dolly Way.
The cause of death was not released. An autopsy was planned for Monday.
