13-Year-Old From Burbank Develops Anti-Bullying Program

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — At just 13, she's an accomplished national speaker and award-winning author.

On Saturday morning, Shanaya Fastje appeared on KCAL9 News to discuss her fourth book, "Bully in the Mirror."

The recent high school graduate says the book outlines a self-help curriculum catering to kids as well as parents and educators.

Fastje has received several awards, including President Obama's 2011 "Volunteer Service Award."
