STUDIO CITY (CBS2) — The warming trend continues today as the off-shore flow strengthens. Dry, gusty winds are developing out of the Northeast. It is for this reason that a wind advisory has been issued for the mountains in San Bernardino, Orange, and Riverside counties, as well as the coastal sections of Orange County.
The advisory starts tonight at 7 p.m. and will run until Saturday morning. Expect the winds to peak on Friday morning. Friday will also be the warmest day of the week with daytime highs near 80.
While Saturday will remain above average, we will get some cooling down to the low- to mid-70s.
Further significant cooling will occur on Sunday as we transition from this dry off-shore flow to more of a troughy pattern.
By Tuesday and Wednesday of next week a storm system approaches the area and we are looking at the possibility of some rain.
Coast – low 70s
Basin – mid 70s
Valleys – mid 70s
Mountains – mid 40s
Deserts- mid 60s
