SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are reporting a brush fire has ignited alongside the 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita.

The 1-acre fire prompted the California Highway Patrol to close two northbound lanes of the Antelope Freeway, north of Sand Canyon Road.

The blaze broke out shortly after 1 p.m. and was knocked down by L.A. County firefighters shortly thereafter.
