Funeral Plans Announced For Riverside Police Officer Allegedly Ambushed By Dorner

RIVERSIDE (CBS/AP) — A funeral for a Riverside Police officer allegedly killed by ex-LAPD cop Christopher Dorner has been scheduled for Wed., Feb. 13.

COMPLETE COVERAGE: SoCal Manhunt

Officer Michael Crain, an 11-year veteran of the force, will be laid to rest during a 10:30 a.m. funeral set for Wednesday at Grove Community Church.

The ceremony will include an Honor Guard procession followed by interment at Riverside National Cemetery.

Police say Crain was one of two officers ambushed on Feb. 7 by Dorner. The shooting occurred at a red light at Magnolia and Arlington avenues.

The other officer was shot numerous times but is expected to survive.

SWAT teams continue to search for Dorner, who has vowed revenge against several former LAPD colleagues whom he blames for ending his career.

Crain, a 34-year-old resident of Anaheim, is survived by his wife, Regina, and two kids, ages 10 and 4.
