ACTON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say three people have been killed in a helicopter crash in Acton.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday in the 5700 block of Soledad Canyon Road.
CBS2’s Joy Benedict reports that chopper went down on Polsa Rosa Ranch — an area typically rented out by film crews. Investigators say the chopper was being used as part of a film production.
The Los Angeles Film Commission told Benedict that Bongo Productions had a permit to shoot in the area. An untitled reality show was reportedly being filmed. It’s not known if the accident happened during a film shoot.
The National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Aviation Administration and law enforcement agencies are investigating.
