Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 7)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We are getting a better look at Friday's storm system.  It is looking a slight bit wetter and just a little cooler.

The impact of these two factors will be a little more consistent rain on Friday...and some lower snow levels.

According to the latest models, snow could fall as low as 2500 feet. That means the spots over the Santa Clarita Valley Could see snow on Friday.

The system will move into the LA area early tomorrow morning, and we will see the threat of showers throughout the day.

There is enough lift in the atmosphere for a thunderstorm as well.  The National Weather Service did indeed issue a Winter Weather Advisory.

This will be in effect tonight at midnight and run through noon on Saturday.  This is for snowfall combined with wind.

There is also an indication that a secondary low will drive into the area now on Saturday.

I don't think this will be much of a rain threat, but there is the chance at some more showers on Saturday before things dry out on Sunday.

We will also have to watch the winds as they may increase to advisory level through this event.
