Joint Burial Planned For Couple Found Dead Inside Car In Irvine Parking Structure

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — A joint burial is being planned for an engaged Orange County couple who were found dead inside a car at their Irvine condo complex.

Keith Lawrence, 27, and 28-year-old Monica Quan were found shot to death Sunday night on the rooftop parking deck of their condo complex located at 2100 Scholarship, officials said.

Lawrence, a public safety officer at USC, and Quan, an assistant basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton, were college sweethearts at Concordia University.

Their murders were still under investigation Tuesday, however, Irvine police have determined that they were not victims of a robbery.

"I think it's a random act of violence, because you know what? Those two, they were real good people. I just know that they're together," Lawrence's father, Keith, said.

No suspect information has been released.

Autopsies for the couple have been planned for Tuesday.
