IHOP Offering Free Pancakes For National Pancake Day!

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — IHOP restaurants are giving away a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes Tuesday to celebrate National Pancake Day!

The event is designed to raise awareness and funds for charity.

"In return for the free pancakes, guests will be asked to consider leaving a donation for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated local charities," IHOP states on its website.

Newly crowned Miss America 2013, Mallory Hagan, will greet customers and serve pancakes at the IHOP location at 7006 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

IHOP has raised more than $10 million and given away more than 14 million pancakes for charities since the beginning of National Pancake Day in 2006.

The company's goal this year is to raise $3 million.
