LAKE BALBOA (CBSLA.com) — Four people were injured Saturday night by a vehicle that crashed into the side of an apartment building in Lake Balboa.

The crash was reported at 8:46 p.m. at 16208 W. Vanowen Street, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Four people were injured in the crash: three people were treated at the scene and another was taken to the hospital in fair condition, Scott said.

Authorities have not said whether the driver was among those injured.

Firefighters worked on shoring up the wall while waiting for building and safety officials to evaluate the structure’s stability, Scott said.
