STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Singer/songwriter Dawn Richard visited the KCAL9 studios Friday to discuss her solo career after breaking away from the popular R&B group, Dirty Money.

Richard has two Multi-Platinum albums with the group Danity Kane and a Gold Album with Diddy’s Dirty Money.

She left Bad Boy Records in March 2012 and recently released her new album independently on Jan. 15, 2013.

Goldenheart debuted at #1 on iTunes R&B/Soul Charts, #2 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Charts and #10 on Billboard’s R&B Album Charts.
