Dwight Howard Will Avoid Shoulder Surgery For Now, Game-Time Decision Against Minnesota

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Tuesday night in Phoenix, the Lakers blew a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter and had their 3-game winning streak snapped by the Suns.

To make matters worse, Dwight Howard re-aggravated the torn labrum in his right shoulder, and had to leave the game early in the fourth quarter.

Howard said he will not have season ending surgery, and he is a game time decision for Friday's game in Minnesota.

This is the third time he's hurt his right should this season.
