Cadaver Dogs Search Ontario Backyard For Missing Laguna Hills Trucker

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — Police in Ontario are searching the backyard of a home looking for the remains of a trucker who went missing last August.

Officials believe Oscar Javier Contreras Escobar may be buried in the backyard.

Reporting from the scene, CBS2/KCAL98 reporter Greg Mills said neighbors couldn't provide much information about the homeowners. Several told Mills they were afraid to talk about the people who lived in the residence.

One told Mills "there are always people coming and going in that house."

Another homeowner who has lived in the neighborhood for 30 years said, "There were like 25 police cars and 50 cops. They stormed the door. They took out a lady, then a guy and then another guy."

Escobar, 29, was last seen returning his truck to Victorville from the East Coast.

Almost from the start of his disappearance, officials believed Escobar was the victim of foul play. They said there was suspicious activity on his credit card almost immediately following his disappearance.

The missing Escobar is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 135 pounds. He has brown eyes, a mustache, goatee, and is bald.
