Riverside Man's Home Reportedly Filled With Explosives, Booby Traps

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Riverside Police swept a shooting suspect's home Wednesday and allegedly found a house filled with explosives and booby traps, according to officials.

The man lives in the 8000 block of Bellwood Street, near Oakhurst.

Riverside Police said they answered a shots fired call Tuesday at 3 p.m. and took the suspect into custody. After arresting the suspect, police decided to return and conduct a search.

Agents from the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) are also on scene.

No evacuations have been ordered.

CBS2 and KCAL9's Greg Mills reported the suspect has been involved with numerous "incidents" involving his neighbors. At least three neighbors told Mills the suspect is "a strange individual."

Police told Mills they will be at the scene "for quite some time" while they investigate.
