LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — JC Chasez is still tearin' up hearts!

The former 'N SYNC star surprised members of USC's Delta Delta Delta sorority during dinner Monday night.

Chasez, joined by suited up Delta Tau Delta members, serenaded the girls as a part of the fraternity's request to ask them to an event.

"We heard a rumor he was coming, but we thought it was too good to be true," junior Eden Radovich said.

Tri Delta, like all sororities and fraternities at USC, puts on a mandatory weekly Monday Night Dinner where the members dress up and sometimes get surprised by fraternities.

"Not in a million years did I think that one of my childhood crushes would actually show up to a random Monday Night Dinner," sophomore Elisabeth Roberts said. "It was so funny to see everyone's reactions, and mostly to feel like I was 6 years old again."

Chasez, accompanied by an acoustic guitar, sang "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers.

"I think it was awesome," junior Kate Kerwin said. "It was probably the coolest experience I've had at USC. It really shows how much fun and creative Greek life can be."

During the excitement, many girls recorded the special performance, but a video Roberts uploaded to YouTube was the one to go viral.

"The fact that a fraternity went to such measures to ask us to an exchange was really wonderful, and I didn't expect it to become such big news so fast," Roberts said.

The details of the event will be planned out in the next couple of weeks.

"I'm happy Tridelt said 'yes,'" Kerwin said. "I'm really looking forward to the event!"
