LAX Ranked Among Worst Airports For Connecting Flights

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A new survey finds Los Angeles International Airport is considered by business travelers to be among the worst airports for connecting flights.

A nationwide survey of travel agents named LAX among the 10 airports nationwide that fliers try to avoid if making a connection.

The annual Travel Trends Survey by the Travel Leaders Group ranked the airport only behind Chicago O'Hare and New York (JFK) as the two other biggest airports that travelers prefer avoiding.

The best airport for connecting flights according to the survey is Atlanta, followed by Charlotte and Dallas/Fort Worth.

However, the showing for the nation's sixth-busiest airport wasn't all bad: LAX was named among the top 10 airports offering the best services for business travelers.

Last May, LAX was named the second worst airport in America by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine based on seven categories, including flight delays, design, amenities, food and drink, check-in and security.
