Handcuffed Suspect Escapes From Patrol Car In Athens

ATHENS (CBSLA.com) — Deputies Tuesday were looking for a suspect who escaped from a patrol vehicle in Athens.

The suspect, wanted for assault on a deputy, escaped wearing handcuffs around 5 a.m. near Raymond Avenue and 120th Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

He was last seen running eastbound on 120th Street.

He was described as a Latino man in his early 20s with a shaved head. He was wearing a black jacket and black shorts.
