Chris Brown Accused Of Assault After Fight Over WeHo Parking Space

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Singer Chris Brown was under investigation Monday after he reportedly assaulted a fellow entertainer over a parking space in West Hollywood, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies responded to a call at 7:48 p.m. Sunday about six males fighting outside of Westlake Recording Studios, located at 7265 Santa Monica Boulevard, officials said.

"Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space," Sgt. David Valentine said in a news release.

The victim, 25-year-old Frank Ocean, told authorities that Brown punched him during the altercation, KNX 1070's Vytas Safronikas reported.

Ocean also tweeted that he cut his finger in the fight and now "can't play w/ two hands at the grammys."

Brown's entourage left the scene prior to the arrival of the authorities, Sgt. Valentine said.

The fight is under investigation and detectives "will contact Chris Brown at a later time," Sgt. Valentine said.

Brown is currently on probation for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna after a pre-Grammy Awards party in February 2009.
