DIAMOND BAR (CBSLA.com) — A theft of copper wiring in Diamond Bar Saturday left more than 1,500 without power, according to authorities.
The Sheriff’s Department says someone stole copper wiring from a former Honda dealership in the 500 block of Grand Avenue sometime between 9:30 and 10 p.m.
The copper was pulled from an electrical junction box.
The theft left more than 1,500 nearby residents without power into Saturday morning, said officials.
Power was restored about noon Saturday.
Authorities did not release suspect information.
