MISSION VIEJO (CBSLA.com) — A Hispanic man in his late 30s was killed Friday morning when he was struck by multiple vehicles as he walked near an intersection in Mission Viejo.
The incident happened before 7 a.m. at Alicia Parkway and Coronel Drive.
Sheriff’s deputies believe the first driver hit the unidentified victim, stopped and sped off.
Three other motorists also possibly struck the man.
The last person, however, stopped and called police.
“There’s a possibility that two vehicles that struck the victim may not have realized what they ran over. We’re asking them to come forward and contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Department,” said spokesman Jim Amormino.
