Josh Rubenstein’s Weather Forecast (Jan. 25)

STUDIO CITY ( — Another rainy day on tap for Southern California.

The Upper Level Low responsible for yesterday’s rain is finally making its move, although it is tracking at a slow clip. There is a large plume of moisture surging up from the south.

We can expect rainfall through the early part of the day with some localized heavy downpours. Totals will range from .25″ to 1.00″.

By the afternoon and evening the rain should become more scattered and showery. However there is a possibility today with the low moving overhead that we will get a thunderstorm or two.

Snow levels will stay high through this storm as it has a warmer core to it. We should remain dry for the majority of the area on Saturday and the early part of Sunday.

Our next storm system drops in Sunday into Monday. There is not a lot of moisture associated with this system, however there is the chance for light showers. Snow levels will be dropping down as well late Saturday to near 4000′.

This next system has a colder core and our daytime highs will be dropping down below average. We should clear up pretty quickly at the beginning of next week and we will remain dry for the work week.
