CRENSHAW (CBSLA.com) — A parole violator was arrested early Wednesday morning after an overnight standoff with the SWAT Team.
Police began pursuing the suspect around 7:40 p.m. , said Officer Sara Faden, a spokesperson for the LAPD.
He eventually led them to a two-story building in the area of 12th Avenue and 36th Street, Faden said.
The man made his way to the roof and refused to surrender even after his spoke with his parole officer over the phone.
Just before 2 a.m., the suspect attempted to jump from one building to another and fell. Officer used a non-lethal bean bag gun to subdue him, officials said.
The man was arrested and hospitalized in stable condition.
Authorities said the man may be a suspect in a murder. No additional details were released.
