UNIVERSAL CITY (CBSLA.com) — Fire crews Wednesday knocked down a two-alarm blaze that broke out at a ride undergoing remodeling at Universal Studios.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a call that a construction worker's welding torch sparked a fire at 3900 Lankershim Blvd. around 1 p.m.

The body of the fire was knocked down before 2 p.m., but officials were still checking between the walls of the building.

No injuries were reported.
