WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — An elderly woman Sunday was recovering after suffering smoke inhalation from a fire at an apartment complex in West Hollywood.
The blaze, which broke out at a two-story apartment complex on the 7000 block of Norton Avenue, was reported to authorities about 4:44 a.m.
A knockdown was declared at 5:02 a.m., authorities said.
The injured, believed to be 90 years old, declined transport to an area hospital. She suffered moderate smoke inhalation, authorities said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
No further information was immediately available.
