TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a fight at a punk rock concert in Torrance turned deadly Sunday after one person was shot in the parking lot.

Art Barron, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, says a second victim was also stabbed.

The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. in a packed parking lot at Alpine Village.

“It was extremely busy. There were numerous halls with events going on. There was a lot of people,” said Lt. Holly Francisco of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “We’re still trying to figure out why the shooting occurred.”

KNX 1070’s Ed Mertz says both men were transported to area hospitals where one was pronounced dead. The stabbing victim was said to be in stable condition.
